Headed by two accomplished pathologists, Dr. Silvio Tanev and Dr. Hadi Yaziji, NextGen Pathology is a national group of pathologists based primarily in Florida whose strength stems from bridging the “old with the new”. NextGen Pathology very well exploits the technological advancements in telecommunication, modern pathology diagnostics and imaging, while at the same time heavily relies on standard and traditional aspects of their work, by building and fostering old-fashion relationships  between the group members and their clinical colleagues.

In addition, through its diverse group of veteran pathologists, NextGen Pathology’s expertise encompasses the unusual combination of robust hospital pathology skill set (the center of its core competency), and high-level command in esoteric biomarker testing and technologies, to the point that some group members have participated in setting worldwide testing standards of some of the most common cancer biomarkers, such as estrogen receptor testing and HER2 testing in breast cancer.

As such, group members are internationally recognized experts in specialized pathology testing with numerous publications and lectures, and serve on editorial boards of prestigious, peer-reviewed medical journals. The group currently provides exclusive professional pathology services to 11 small-medium-large-size hospitals in Florida and continues to grow, as more pathology practices and administrators realize the benefit of partnering with us.

NextGen Pathology employs the existing and well-established infrastructure of advanced digital pathology and laboratory technologies in their day-to-day pathology services to Hospitals and Medical groups.
